‘Tis the season to be jolly.
Hope you are having fun shopping for gifts and making big plans to spend Christmas with family and good friends. May your days be filled with baking cookies and decorating trees and maybe even stringing some outdoor lights on your trees, bushes and roof line.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, peeps!

Almost every Friday night I try to get in a few games of bowling. We have a nice bowling alley just on the outskirts of town, they keep it nice and clean and good times are almost always had by all. You can smoke and drink at our alley, I’ve been to a few that have recently banned smoking and their food court only serves non-alcoholic beverages, which just doesn’t seem right and throws the whole atmosphere off kilt.
I have made so many friends and made a lot of contacts by bowling during my lifetime, it is a great opportunity to network with all kinds of people. The exercise is certainly a plus also.

I have always loved Slurpee’s, ever since I was a young kid, the only thing that really quenches my thirst and makes my taste buds happy is still a good old fashioned 7-11 Slurpee.
I remember being surprised when my family took a trip to Florida one year, I was probably 11 or 12, and I noticed that there were not any 7-11′s in sight. Instead I saw businesses that were located in the same type of building that we see our 7 -11′s in, the resemblance was uncanny and they were sporting the sign of Piggly Wiggly and the like. That was such a culture shock to me and I’ll always remember that trip mainly because of that revelation of how big the world really was and how things were different all over.

I have started this year to clip the Box Tops for Education coupons that are virtually every where that you look in your kitchen cabinets and refrigerator. The school systems are hurting just as badly as the rest of the world right now, they have always seemed to take a back seat to so many other funding issues.
The schools that participate in this Box Top fundraiser can make some serious money and I’m glad to donate what ever I can in an effort to help support these important institutions of learning.

I got my first Christmas Card of the 2008 Christmas Holiday Season, and I was happy to find a gift certificate worth $40 good at The Red Lobster Restaurant!
What a way to start the holiday season, Red Lobster is on the top of my list of favorite eating establishments. Merry Christmas!
