I want to thank my girlfriend, Jackie, for calling me last night and talking on the phone. We talked for, like, two hours. Maybe more.
Anyway, it was really good to hear from an old friend who bothered to take the time to reconnect and let me vent for a while. Love you bunches, Jackie!

I don’t know where the expression came from about being “down in the dumps.” But I sure feel like that today. I don’t know why – there is nothing particularly wrong. But everything seems so boring and so not worth any effort. FML.

The loaf of italian bread that I bought from the Publix bakery on Sunday has already got little green dots of mold growing on it. So I had to toss it out and I just hate to waste food. That also left me with no bread to go with my pasta dinner. Luckily, I had a couple of hamburger buns left over in the bottom of the bread drawer. So I took out the hamburger buns and dropped each half into my toaster. With a little butter on the toasted buns I had a nice italian dinner, with fresh bread.

My dog got stung by a bee in the grass and he got really sick. It scared me half to death. I saw him start limping and licking at his leg, so I knew something was wrong. Then he started having trouble breathing and blood started coming out of his nose and his eyes. I flipped out and drove him down to the emergency vet. Thank GOD they took him right in and gave him a shot. He was still pretty sick for a couple of hours, but I thought he was going to DIE and I can’t believe a little bee sting would DO THAT to my little dog.
This was a bad day. The only good thing is that he is OK now. But it scared me worse than anything I can remember and I’m going on the warpath against bees now. Kill them all.
