All my friends are discovering a band called Kings of Leon. But I’ve just discovered a singer named Leon Russell. Where has this man been all my life? He has this wonderful gravelly voice and the lyrics to his songs are incredibly interesting. I really like Leon Russell and can’t wait to hear his live show.

Tonight I had a craving for a lemon meringue pie. My mom used to bake them from scratch – piecrust and everything. But I bought a nice ready made pie crust from the freezer section of the Food Lion and used a pack of Jello pudding mix for the lemon filling. The meringue is just egg whites and sugar – so that was easy. It turned out fantastic.

My cell phone is not taking a charge when I hook up the battery recharger. I think the connection is broken loose inside the phone. So I’m looking for a new phone today and want to keep it simple. I’ve seen the fancy Blackberry phones and the ones with slide out keyboards. I just want a phone – a basic little phone. Is that so wrong?
